I switched to Dr. Christina Youngren for hormone pellets after being with another provider for a long while, and I’m glad I did! Her expertise in naturopathic medicine, combined with her thoughtful approach, makes for a refreshing experience. Her boutique medical office is warm and welcoming—such a contrast to other providers focused on upselling supplements and beauty treatments rather along the way. I still have a closet full of vitamins I never take from the last place. Ugh. I'd also checked out BioHackr next door on Union Street and had my initial blood drawn + a consultation, but their pelleting cost more, and the vibe felt off— with people siting around hooked up to IVs, which they also tried to sell to me. Dr. Youngren, on the other hand, is just straight up passionate about hormone balance, it shows, and I can really see and appreciate the difference. Her focus is on genuinely helping patients feel their best, it's crystal clear with no BS, and I love her practice for that. Highly recommend!

Dr. Christina Youngren is a naturopath that specializes in HRT in pellet form. I made an appointment with Dr. Youngren and she helped me determine if I was a candidate for HRT in the form of a pellet. The first step is to get bloodwork done and then have a virtual consultation with Dr. Youngren. My very first meeting with Dr. Youngren was so enlightening. She determined immediately from my bloodwork that I had low thyroid that could easily be regulated with oral medication. My ob/gyn had not even looked at that! She had simply shrugged her shoulders and told me that my symptoms were just part of midlife and beyond as a woman. I will never forget Dr. Youngren saying “you are going to feel so much better!” What patient doesn’t want to hear their doctor say that?? I didn’t even really feel that I felt that bad, I just knew that I felt different than I had prior to menopause, I did have to get used to a different type of office visit. Insurance does not cover HRT in the form of a pellet so I had to pay out of pocket. Don’t expect a lot of office administration in Dr. Youngren’s office, it is pretty scaled back. Dr. Youngren does use an online platform to communicate and set appointments that is easy to navigate. Dr. Youngren and her assistant are very responsive on the site. Now that I have been doing HRT in the form of a pellet for over a year I can easily say it is the best thing I have ever done for my health. I have zero symptoms of post menopause and I have gotten my stamina back for fitness and am stronger than I was before menopause. I also got my sex drive back in a huge way and that is wonderful in so many ways! Last and most important, I believe 100% that I am helping my future self avoid osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease by using hormone replacement therapy. I am so grateful to Dr. Youngren. She is a kind, compassionate healthcare professional. She spent more time to understand my symptoms and help me navigate them than any other healthcare professional. It is clear to me that she is passionate about women’s health in midlife. I enjoy my visits with Dr. Youngren and wish I could spend even more time with her. If you are still unsure I encourage you to do the initial consultation. You won’t regret it.

I have been a patient of Dr. Youngren's for years. She was the first physician who made me feel heard, and who gave me hope that things would improve. Her knowledge and expertise has guided me though multiple ailments- mainly hormonal, and along the way, she has been nothing but caring and compassionate; however, I most appreciate her honesty and openness. Managing my hormones has been a challenge to say the least, but under Dr. Youngren's care, I felt so supported and cared for. Can't recommend her enough!
