I am so grateful for Kristen and Adolfo at LivHRT. Kristen was the 4th hormone specialist that I had seen. Previously, I was only offered birth control (even though I'm sterilized) and vaginal estrogen (I was already on it). The appointment was nothing like the others I saw. She has an amazing wealth of up to date knowledge, experience, confidence, and competency. She is humble about it and has the attitude of an eternal student, which only makes me trust her more. She perfectly balanced listening and "client-practitioner shared decision making" with a conservative approach of "minimal effective dose" and ruling out potential underlying causes/disease. She has and is pursuing some amazing certifications, including functional medicine, the menopause society, and the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. We looked at labs as a guide but she also prioritized symptoms. She was the first provider I saw who was informed about labs being an unreliable snapshot of your hormones during perimenopause when levels are in chaos.
