Best diabetic care in Northern California (I've spend the better part of a year meeting endocrinologists between Sonoma County and Santa Cruz). Yes, it takes a million years to get your "new patient" appointment. After that, like the previous reviewer said, it's much easier (though still not perfect). Sometimes my primary doc falls a little short, Dr. Masharani always picks up the slack. Also, the other reviewer is incorrect; Dr. Masharani works several days per week, Fridays are his pump patients, and other days for other parients like us non-pumpers. If you are in a tight spot and need him ASAP the front desk folks -- also superb -- will make it happen. Most sessions start with a med school type listening to all your boring stories about "I was worried about my toenail then it looked ok" or "I see a spot sometimes." After jabbering w Junior for 15-20 min Big Daddy comes in and tells you what's what. Amazing doctor, with an awesome team. They have education classes on diabetes that should be a mandatory for anyone diagnosed at any point in their lives. Could not recommend Dr. Masharani and his team more. Best medical experience I have ever had.
