I’ve had a wonderful experience here with Dr. Shaw and the rest of the staff at MD Trim Clinic! I set out on my weight loss journey with them last year in March and have already lost nearly 70 pounds. Everyone there is attentive, kind and knowledgeable. MIRACULOUS REDUCTION OF PAIN!!! I have been under the excellent care of Dr. Shaw and his team since early June, 2025. I only had a very stubborn 20 lbs to lose, but I was also interested in the potential benefits of GLP-1 medication for my other health issues (pre-diabetes, high colesterol, sleep apnea). By far my most challenging health problem for the past 25 years has been serious osteoarthritis (in all my joints), but it never occurred to me that this medicine could help with that. I wasn’t aware that GLP-1s can reduce inflammation throughout the body until Dr.Shaw told that to me during our initial consult. The weight is coming off easily. But the most astounding thing about this medication is HOW DRAMATICALLY THE PAIN IN ALL OF MY JOINTS HAS DECREASED!!! I’ve been told for 25 years that the only thing I can do for the joint pain is take over the counter pain medication, which I’d been downing like candy just to engage in every day activities. Now, I rarely take any at all. Before I started these meds, I could barely walk two city blocks before my knees were excruciatingly painful. Now, I can walk three miles in a day before I notice any discomfort. So far I have lost 15 pounds on a relatively low dose of tirzepatide (5mg per week). I am very happy with this! I’ve had virtually no side effects (except for itching at the injection site at times) In the next few days I will get the results of my biannual blood work to see if “my numbers” ( A1C and cholesterol) have gone down. I’ll update this when I get the results. Dr. Shaw is extremely knowledgeable, and explains how these medications work, and how to maximize the benefits and reduce the potential side effects. He is warm and friendly and not at all condescending (like some doctors are). He is extremely available - I have never waited more than a few hours if I’ve requested a call because I’ve had questions. The meds always arrive in plenty of time. I highly recommend Dr. Shaw and his team for your GLP-1 journey!
