Several yellow flags during my appointment today. 1. Dr. Holmes walked in and said “OK so we’re checking in again about your feet.” Like, what? When she saw my confusion, she then asked why I was even there (routine check) 2. She asked me if there was any history of skin cancer in my family. I had already given them that information during the last appointment. So she either didn’t write that down or didn’t even check my chart. 3. During the last appointment, they took images of the moles on my back, so that they could track any change. During this appointment, she didn’t, and I had to ask her if she would. She reluctantly did so. 4. My previous dermatologist, before I moved, was very thorough about the moles on my back and said that several of them are atypical and require checkups at least every year, but ideally every six months. he explained where they were, exactly what kind they are, and how they behave. But Dr. Holmes just said, after maybe 20 seconds of inspecting my entire body, that there’s nothing she’s worried about (Didn’t even mention that I should keep an eye on anything) and to just come back in a year. 5. I can’t imagine that she was in the room for longer than three or four minutes. It felt rushed, surface, and slightly dismissive. 6. They don’t answer the phone or return calls

I love everything about this practice. Dr. Holmes is the gold standard in dermatology. I split my time between DC and NYC, but I will only see her. She’s easy to get in touch with, listens carefully, acts decisively, and gets results. The fact that she’s also a wonderful person makes me feel even better about selecting this practice.

I don’t know what’s going on over here anymore. I have been a patient for years. Now they don’t answer the phone ever! I got a notification about an appointment I didn’t even make. And I’m still waiting on information from an email I sent. At this point, I’m looking elsewhere. Unbelievable how poor the service had gotten. Not to mention, the Dr. is just not engaged anymore. No feedback or anything. I’m done! Proceed with caution!
