My first visit was yesterday, the team understood the pain and complications I suffer from (Brain Stem Migraines and Cluster Migraines). I was seeing another neurologist for years, and the pain kept getting worse. Once I visited Boston Advanced I knew I found the Dr.s that understood what I go through. We changed my meds, we discussed all options for treatment. I felt part of the solution and was listened too. I know it is only the first visit but I felt supported and comfortable. Dr. Silk was was understanding, knowledgeable, and compassionate.

I have been a patient here for years, and no one else has come close to the care and support that I receive from the team here. They are understanding, compassionate and determined to help. You are not just another “number” here, they truly care about you and what matters to you. From the ladies at the front desk, to the nurses and doctors in back and in the Surgical center.. they’re exceptional. I’m so thankful for Dr. Silk and Hannah! I see them regularly and they have been able to develop a plan to stabilize my pain as much as possible, while we tried to find the root cause. Every appointment I’ve had, no matter how often, they sit and listen, and they never make me feel rushed. I receive nerve blocks and Botox from them, and they make it as painless as possible. It’s great that they can do infusions here too, which has helped me soo many times and saved me from going to the ER! I’ve had a complex head pain issue for years where so many neurologists, specialists and hospitals disregarded my symptoms or threw their hands up with no other alternatives. NOT Dr. Silk! He has been the ONLY doctor that listened to me over and over and didn’t give up on trying to find the root cause. It’s because of his ongoing efforts, the continuous support and willingness to work with any doctor that could help me, that I recently received a diagnosis from the Mayo Clinic that confirmed the symptoms that I had been describing (the same symptoms that others disregarded).

I have suffered from horrible headaches (pain scale of 7+ always) for as long as I can remember. The first time I saw a doctor about it was in 2006, and I would say every year since I have brought it up to countless doctors and no one ever had a solution. I found Dr. Silk and his team at Boston Advanced Medicine back in December 2024, and in those 4 short months, my life has truly changed. I truly have not had a headache since. Dr. Silk listens and educates while providing care and treatment that are preventative but also can stop the headache in its track. I am so thankful for this team!
