Dr. Markman is a very good doctor and was treating me for my type 1 diabetes. I liked her very much, she was thorough and knew diabetes well. She’s also very personable and has a good bedside manner. The only reason I stopped seeing her was because I moved far from Manhattan and could no longer make the appointments.

recently had my first appointment with Dr. Markman. I am a type 2 diabetic, diagnosed about 20 years ago. I left my old endocrinologist after 10 years due to the rudeness of his staff. Well, from the moment I entered the Westmed facility I felt like the most important person in the world. The staff, the nurse, everybody was kind, courteous and thorough. Then when I met Dr. M it was the icing on the cake. She thoroughly reviewed my condition and my treatment regimen. She made a few changes and explained everything to me in plain English. Then she followed up with emails to make sure I got what I needed. I feel like I made one of the best decisions of my life to become a patient of this kind, caring, compassionate caregiver.

I am a couple weeks away from traveling across the country to see Dr Markman. As a 40 yr Type 1 veteran, she has always respected my knowledge and added her experience with the technology, medications, etc. to keep me at a very well controlled 6.0 A1C. I trust her with keeping me healthy so that I can be there for my family in all the years ahead.
