Garath Alan Maenpaa, MD

Dr Maenpaa was wonderful to work with. My 90-year old mother is somewhat skeptical when having to see new Doctors but needed a sonogram guided injection for her shoulder. Dr. Maenpaa was so thorough and patient, explained every step of the process. His bedside manor was exceptional. We have had a great experience with this office to date with both Dr. Catherine Rainbow and now Dr. Garath Maenpaa. Happy to recommend this practice.

My husband drove me 1.5 hours from our home in Hickory to see Dr. Maenpaa today as a third opinion on some hip and groin problems I am having. He spent a fair amount of time with me trying to piece together my story and come up with a diagnosis. He answered all of my questions and I didn’t feel rushed. I felt like he genuinely cared and used vocabulary I could understand. He printed out some information about my condition, scheduled me for some PT and an MRI. Although we haven’t reached an accurate diagnosis yet, we are in the process of elimination which might take some time but he reassured me that we would get one. I left the office feeling hopeful that he might be able to get me back to some of the activities I enjoyed before. Dr. Maenpaa seems very knowledgeable and I look forward to my follow up appointments with him. I trust him with my care and I wish all doctors were this thorough.

Dr Maenpaa took my pain seriously and took the time to explain options. He has a great personality that brings a lightheartedness to a serious matter. His assistant was also super kind and helpful.
