I started working with Martin at Tree of Light Health in July 2023. I started with him because I was struggling with low energy, fatigue, and I had put on some weight despite working out consistently, mediating regularly, spending time in nature and eating a decent diet. I have a rare genetic heart disease that always throws new providers off and impacts how I exercise. Martin listened to it all, spent the time I needed with me and helped create a plan to get me back on track. A few years later I’m still doing great. I have more energy, have lost weight, more stress resiliency and less overall fatigue. I continue to see Martin a few times a year and he has monitored my nutritional status, HRV and tailored supplements over time. Between visits I feel comfortable reaching out to him to ask questions or get help as needed. If he thinks I need to come into the office I do, but if he doesn’t, he tells me that too. Sometimes his thoughtful answers and direction is just enough to get me through, whatever I’m struggling with. I have been to other functional medicine practitioners and was underwhelmed. I came in to the practice with a completely different idea of what we should do to treat a health issue I was experiencing for months than what we ended up doing. I'm glad Martin decided to treat me exactly as he did because 3 weeks later the issue resolved. I had no knowledge of or trust in the method he treated me with, so the placebo effect was non-existent. His knowledge and experience is vast. Don't hesitate to try the modalities of treatment considered to be more "woo."

Martin has been a steady and thoughtful presence in my Lyme treatment. He takes a comprehensive approach, considering both conventional and alternative options, and is open to adjusting plans based on how things are going. I’ve really appreciated how willing he is to review outside test results I send his way, and how flexible he is in tailoring treatment to my individual needs. He’s consistently responsive and takes time to answer questions thoroughly, which helps me feel supported throughout this process.
