Ketamine of Philadelphia

After completing 6 infusions I felt much better. I didn’t feel my normal unease or anxiety. The clinic space is super nice and easy to access if you are coming from the suburbs. My appointment was right on schedule and my consultation with Dr Applegate went very well…he answered all my questions and is very easy to talk to. The nurses were super nice and my infusion room was really comfortable.

Ketamine literally saved my life. My "side effects" were being able to eat my first meal in weeks without becoming sick, motivation to do long neglected housework,more restful sleep and a smile on my face. This was in addition to being freed of my debilitating suicidal thoughts. Dr. Applegate is not only compassionate and kind, he is also incredibly up to date in all things mental health and is incredibly good at explaining things in a way you can understand. The nurse, Shannon is an absolute Godsend. The worst part about completing my treatments will be not seeing her anymore! I've noticed complaints of the rooms. No, they are not fancy. But the chairs are comfortable and they are at least not clinical feeling rooms. I had earphones in to play my own inspirational music and the environment just didn't matter while I relaxed and let the medicine work its magic. I pray that this medication becomes approved as something insurance will cover because there are so many people I know who could live much better lives with these infusions.

I was a support person to a friend receiving treatments here. I've seen some of the negative reviews about the office - but they have been updated - we were well taken care of and I'm so thrilled my friend has finally found a treatment to alleviate her depression! Dr. Applegate answered all our questions and concerns and the nursing staff (llleana and the office staff) were all attentive and caring!
