Dr. Sean Peter Horan and PDseX Health LLC

I’ve had many doctors that have cared about me over my life. I’ve had many competent doctors as well. Dr. Horan strikes such an incredible balance in being both. I came to Dr. Horan because my health has been on a slow decline my entire life, despite living a healthy lifestyle and researching holistic interventions I can take to try and get better! Dr. Horan has been a most cherished teammate on this journey. He’s supported my choice to take holistic and natural interventions whenever possible. He counseled me on what would be the most effective and was able to communicate when more drastic interventions were necessary. He has taught me so much and has always been listening attentively when I share something I’ve learned. The most comforting thing is that he understands his role and whenever something went beyond at scope he always made sure I was able to see the specialists I needed. I never went without the best care. I can truthfully say I would not be as healthy as I am now had I not began working with Dr. Horan. In under two years we’ve diagnosed my underlying conditions, treated them, and put them into remission. He told me when I began working with him that is goal is to put himself out of business and he has truly outdone himself. Now I can truly work towards peak fitness and health without complications stopping my progress and setting me back. While I will only be working with Dr. Horan for preventative measures, emergent acute conditions, and annual check ups moving forward I can confidently say I’ll never see anyone else. I feel so blessed to be able to finally have a healthy normal life.

What can be said about Dr. Horan? Smart, insightful, compassionate, caring - simply the best doctor I've ever had. Dr. Horan brings a beautiful vibe to the practice; is straightforward, honest, and so obviously cares about the patients' needs. I always leave feeling better - nay! rejuvenated! - and if that isn't the sign of a truly wonderful doctor, than what is? Dude is seriously the best in the city.

I had a long string of hostile and unhelpful doctors in Kentucky--mostly conservative cishet white men who stayed in their narrow lanes. It’s very "one size fits all" in the South, and I'm not a cishet male-sized person. Finding a doctor in Portland has been a completely different experience. It was honestly a little shocking walking into Dr. Horan’s office for the first time. It felt like stepping into a 2077 cyberdoc’s office in Neo Portland. I’d never even heard of a naturopath before moving here. A lot of doctors in Portland advertise holistic or New Age services, but naturopathy is an actual licensed medical specialty in Oregon—something that doesn’t even exist in Kentucky or Indiana. I’ve only had a few visits so far, but Dr. Horan already seems more knowledgeable than my previous doctor about HRT, psychiatric medications, and probably allergies. I’d absolutely recommend him--especially to queer or non-conforming people who might feel uncomfortable in a stodgy, traditional, doctor’s office.
