I saw Catherine Addonizio for seven sessions of physical therapy over the course of about three months. The therapy was pelvic physical therapy for stress urinary incontinence when laughing, coughing, sneezing, or running, which had been a problem since the birth of my son ten years ago. I was only sorry that I had waited so long to address the issue. After an initial evaluation, she gave me several exercises which she explained patiently and thoroughly, and also gave me a sheet with the information to take home. She was very flexible in terms of allowing me to do the exercises in a way that fit in with my busy lifestyle. She used biofeedback as well as electrical muscle stimulation to teach me to regain bladder control. In just this short time the problem seems to have been completely corrected. Catherine was a pleasure to work with. She was very matter of fact and encouraging, which made me feel at ease with what could have been an embarrassing subject. She was flexible with scheduling around my availability. I would definitely recommend her most highly.
